Save Tigers
It is a matter of great concern that India's national animal, the Tiger,is heading towards extinction. While some surveys say that the number of tigers in India are 1411,it is rumoured that the count is even lesser than expected. It is time that we stand up.India is a very populous country and I am sure that if all of us support this cause, then tigers will roar again. Many initiatives and campaigns have been started and we have to support them.A few notable initiatives include Project Tiger and Aircel Save Our Tigers Initiative. Many noted personalities, from Kiran Bedi to the Indian captain,MS Dhoni, from Amitabh Bachchan to Suresh Raina have supported this campaign.Tigers are the best managers of the forest. If we do our bit for the nature, nature will do its bit for us too.

We need to save tigers, but not tigers alone lions too. There are only 300+ Asiatic Lions left so we have to protect them. Aircel is just publicising the issue & with that the celebrities are endorsing it. Just check what have they done to protect tigers apart from advertising on media. Anyway I like your BLOG a lot & enjoy reading it.
ReplyDeleteLove your Blog. Keep it up.I agree Asiatic Lion , Ridlley's Turtles and many others need our protection. I recently saw a film where it was shown that tiger tourism will help in saving tigers. I realised that film was by tour operators. Everyone is out to make fast buck in name of conservation. How many are really doing something concrete about it? Whatever little we can do will help. Even your Blog can help. So carry on.
